Sports betting giant, William Hill, has announced the merger of its UK online and retail divisions as a part of their financial recovery plan for next year.

Their latest decision will result in some corporate executive shuffling. The UK Online Managing Director, Phil Walker, will be the head of the combined UK division while Nicola Frampton will step down after helping Walker through a six-month transition. Frampton joined the William Hill ranks in 2010 and became the brand’s UK Retail Director in 2014. She called her ten years at William Hill “an absolute privilege.”

Walker has led the UK online business department for the past 18 months after having spent eight years with rivals Gala Coral Group and Ladbrokes Coral.

William Hill is also planning to close offices in Stockholm, Sweden as they continue to integrate one of the most popular online casinos, Mr. Green, into the business, an acquisition dating back to 2018. The company announced further actions regarding their locations in attempts to streamline the workflow.

Phil Walker already revealed how they will have to structure the right numbers of teams with the right skills and announced potential layoffs in Krakow and Leeds.
