The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has suspended the operating license of multi-brand online casino operator Genesis Global with immediate effect, due to ‘a number of compliance issues.’

UKGC announced that it had commenced a review of Genesis Global Ltd.’s UK-facing operations under section 116(2)(a) of the Gambling Act 2005, which allows the UKGC to review the operations of any licensee it suspects of being unsuitable to carry on the activities permitted under its license.

Genesis Global, which offers gambling services in the United Kingdom through a great number of sites, cannot operate legally as of Monday 20th July 2020. The platforms underneath Genesis Global includes:

  • Casoola Casino
  • Casino Planet
  • Kassu
  • CasinoCruise
  • Casino Gods
  • Casino Joy
  • Genesis Casino
  • Pelaa
  • Sloty Online Casino
  • Spela
  • Spinit
  • Vegas Hero

“We have instructed the operator to facilitate customers accessing their accounts to withdraw funds and advise customers not to place any bets through the above websites. If a customer has questions concerning their account, we advise they contact the operator through the website they have used,” instructed the UKGC’s in their media release.

The UKGC has launched a number of similar license reviews in recent months, including Stakers Ltd and FSB Technology.
