Footstock announces UK launch ahead of Premier League season

The new football trading platform Footstock has announced its UK launch ahead of this weekend’s start of the 2020/2021 Premier League season (Saturday 12 September).

To help mark the occasion, Footstock has also released a £100k season-long contest which is open to all EPL fans that register with the player trading exchange. This campaign allows Footstock players to take on each other’s trading skills as they battle against each other for a share of the £100k pot, with a number of cash prizes on offer.

Players will not just pick a fantasy team; they will own it. They can use the players they own to win huge cash rewards in rake-free fantasy contests.

Targeting EPL fans, Footstock has booked 200 adverts to be aired across talkSPORT’s radio network for a six-week duration, with its ads voiced by ex-football star and broadcaster, Chris Kamara, who has also been recently named as the platform’s first ambassador.

Further initiatives taken by Footstock includes revamping its mobile app with a broad range of new features such as a transformed UI and a much sleeker design, all of which are aimed at enhancing user experience.

Discussing the new products and marketing initiative, James Copeland, CMO of Footstock has said that the free-to-enter fantasy competition should see at least 100 different managers winning a prize from the overall pot, and that the company looks forward to seeing the impact of their hard work when the new season starts.

To date, a minimum of £730,000 has been won in fantasy tournaments with over two million games played on Footstock and over a million market trades have been completed.
