Online gambling operator Betway has been confirmed as the exclusive sports betting sponsor of Hertha Berlin. The agreement was announced just ahead of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season, which kicks-off on Friday 18 September.
An important aspect of the three-year deal will be digital communication, in addition to the presence on the stadium’s LED signs. Betway will also be represented on social media, the official website, and the Hertha Berlin mobile app. With the Hertha partnership, this online gaming company has expanded its presence in Germany even further, as they already collaborate with Werder Bremen. Last week, the operator also became the official front-of-shirt sponsor of the Spanish second division club RCD Espanyol.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman, said: “Our brand is well known among football fans in Germany, with our range of partnerships in the two main divisions of the Bundesliga over the past few seasons. This is a fantastic opportunity to show our product to fans of one of the oldest and most established clubs in the country.”
In the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season, the team from the German capital finished in 10th place, adding 41 points in 11 wins, 8 draws, and 15 losses.
