English Premier League club Aston Villa has announced a deal with Asian betting operator LT as the club’s new shirt sleeve sponsor. The partnership was signed just in time for LT’s launch in the UK.
The logo of the Macau-based gaming operator will appear on the sleeves of first team jerseys for all forthcoming matches during the 2020/21 season. LT replaced W88 as the club’s principal partner, despite the Aston Villa’s main shirt deal being with online used car platform Cazoo.
Financial terms of the deal have not been released, but based on comparable sleeve agreements in the Premier League, it is estimated to be worth a low seven-figure sum.
“We are looking forward to next season and engaging closely with the fans, players and club management. LT is a 16 years old trusted gaming brand with a presence in many different markets and we share the same values with Aston Villa and are both playing to win,” said Ronald Tan, LT CEO.
LT is an Asia-based brand established in 2004 and owned by LT Game. They are planning an expansion to the UK market with its lt.co.uk website that will include both online casinos and sportsbooks.
